Island & Sail
Every day of this expedition begins at the water's edge. Grenada is a spice water island — where coral reefs shelter sea turtles beneath the surface, an underwater sculpture park rises from the seafloor, the wreck of the Bianca C lies in 50 metres of Caribbean blue, and Grand Anse Beach stretches three kilometres of white sand along the island's southwest coast.
Daylite Digital is an accommodation curator. We secure your hotels across this entire Grenada circuit — that is what your package price covers. All tours, activity fees, transfers, and meals are arranged independently by the traveller and paid directly to local operators. The Daylite Ambassador is an optional service, available separately.
Grenada's African heritage runs as deep as its nutmeg roots. Enslaved Africans brought to the island by French and then British colonisers built the spice economy that made Grenada one of the most valuable islands in the Caribbean — and they never stopped resisting. The Fedon Rebellion of 1795, led by Julien Fedon, a free man of African and French descent, held the British at bay for two years from a mountain stronghold in the interior, inspiring generations of Grenadian resistance.
In 1979, the New Jewel Movement led by Maurice Bishop took power in a bloodless revolution, establishing one of the Caribbean's most ambitious social programmes — free education, healthcare, and a new international airport built with Cuban assistance. The revolution ended violently in 1983, but its legacy lives in Grenadian identity: a people who built their island from the soil up, who grew the spice that flavoured the world, and who have always looked to the sea as both livelihood and liberation.
Today, Grenada's cocoa and nutmeg estates are among the finest in the world. Spice estate and chocolate tours are arranged independently and paid to local operators at point of service.
Grenada's reefs are among the healthiest in the Eastern Caribbean. Its underwater sculpture park — the first of its kind in the world — merges art with marine conservation. The Bianca C wreck is the Caribbean's largest accessible dive site. All experiences below are paid directly to local operators at point of service.
