Seven Mile & Sail
Every day of this expedition begins at the water's edge. Jamaica is a power water island — where waterfalls cascade directly into the Caribbean Sea, rivers wind through jungle limestone, coral reefs shelter sea turtles beneath the surface, and the ocean itself is the stage for the island's most iconic sunsets. This 7-day circuit is structured around five water experiences: ocean swim, reef snorkel, waterfall climb, river float, and sunset sail.
Daylite Digital is an accommodation curator. We secure your hotels across this entire Jamaica circuit — that is what your package price covers. All tours, activity fees, transfers, and meals are arranged independently by the traveller and paid directly to local operators. The Daylite Ambassador is an optional service, available separately.
Long before Jamaica's independence, and more than a century before slavery was abolished across the British Empire, the Jamaican Maroons had already won their freedom. Escaped enslaved Africans fled into the rugged, cave-pocked limestone terrain of Cockpit Country — a landscape so difficult to navigate that British forces could never fully subdue it. From this stronghold, Maroon communities led sustained resistance against colonial forces for generations.
The result was the Leeward Maroon Treaties — formal agreements in which the British recognised Maroon sovereignty and freedom, decades before any other emancipation movement in the Americas. Today, Accompong Town in St. Elizabeth Parish remains self-governing, led by an elected Colonel, and marks Maroon history each January with the Accompong Maroon Festival — drumming, storytelling, and the Kromanti language passed down from West African ancestors.
Reggae was born inland — in the hills, the yards, the churches of resistance — but it was always carried to the sea. Jamaica's voice travels through water, rhythm, and resistance.
Jamaica's waterfalls cascade 600 feet into the Caribbean Sea. Its rivers carved through limestone that sheltered a free nation for centuries. Its reefs are among the most biodiverse in the Caribbean. All experiences below are paid directly to local operators at point of service.
