World’s End
Chile is one of the most geographically extraordinary countries on Earth — a 4,300km sliver of land stretching from the driest desert on the planet to the wild glacial wilderness of Patagonia. This 9-day vertical circuit captures Chile’s full dramatic range: the cosmopolitan energy of Santiago, the otherworldly landscapes of the Atacama Desert, and the raw, wind-swept grandeur of Torres del Paine.
Daylite Digital secures your accommodation across this entire Chilean circuit. All tours, flights, transfers, park entry fees, and activities are arranged independently by the traveller and paid directly to local operators.
Chilean People · Mapuche Heritage · Resilience · End of the World
Chile’s people carry the weight and wonder of living at the edge of the world. The Mapuche — Chile’s largest Indigenous nation — are one of the few Indigenous peoples of the Americas who were never fully conquered by the Spanish Empire. Their resistance, known as the Arauco War, lasted over 300 years. Today, Mapuche culture, language, and spiritual traditions remain alive across southern Chile.
The Atacama’s Atacameño and Aymara peoples have inhabited the world’s driest desert for thousands of years, developing sophisticated water management systems and astronomical knowledge. In Patagonia, the Kawesqar and Selknam peoples navigated the channels and fjords of the far south in bark canoes for millennia. Chile’s modern identity produces a people of extraordinary resilience, warmth, and pride.
Chile is a country of superlatives — the driest desert, the most dramatic granite towers, the longest country, the most remote wilderness.
