Reef & Waterfall
Every day of this expedition begins at the water's edge. Trinidad & Tobago is a power water twin-island nation — where the Atlantic meets the Caribbean, where leatherback turtles emerge from the deep to nest on moonlit beaches, where rainforest rivers cascade into the sea, and where the world's greatest street party was born.
Daylite Digital is an accommodation curator. We secure your hotels across this entire Trinidad & Tobago circuit — that is what your package price covers. All tours, activity fees, inter-island transfers, and meals are arranged independently by the traveller and paid directly to local operators. The Daylite Ambassador is an optional service, available separately.
Trinidad & Tobago is the southernmost nation in the Caribbean — sitting just off the coast of Venezuela, shaped by the Orinoco River delta, and blessed with some of the most biodiverse waters in the region. Trinidad is the larger island — the engine of the nation, the birthplace of Carnival, steelpan, calypso, and soca. Tobago is the quieter twin — coral reefs, rainforest, waterfalls, and some of the finest diving in the Caribbean.
Carnival in Port of Spain is not a festival. It is a way of life. Every year, in the days before Ash Wednesday, the streets of Port of Spain erupt into the greatest street party on earth — two days of costumed bands, soca music, and a city that moves as one. The steelpan — invented in Trinidad in the 1930s — is the only acoustic instrument invented in the 20th century.
Grande Riviere on Trinidad's north coast is home to one of the world's largest leatherback turtle nesting sites. Between March and August, hundreds of leatherback turtles emerge from the Atlantic to nest on the beach. Turtle watch access is arranged independently and paid to local operators at point of service.
Trinidad & Tobago has two coastlines, two water personalities, and one of the most varied marine environments in the Caribbean. All experiences below are paid directly to local operators at point of service.
