Last Frontier
This 10-day Palawan expedition moves through the Philippines' Last Frontier — the El Nido lagoons of the Bacuit Archipelago, the Tagbanua sacred lakes of Coron, and the UNESCO underground river of Puerto Princesa. Daylite Digital secures your accommodation across this island circuit. All activity fees, boat fees, dive fees, entry fees, and tour fees are arranged independently by the traveller and paid directly to local operators.
Palawan is called the Philippines' Last Frontier — a 450-kilometre limestone spine that has resisted development with the help of the indigenous Tagbanua, Palawan, and Batak peoples, whose ancestral domain rights over land and sea are legally recognised by the Philippine government. To visit is to enter a place still governed, in part, by indigenous law.

Palawan is called the Philippines' Last Frontier — a 450-kilometre limestone spine of the country that has resisted development with the help of the indigenous Tagbanua, Palawan, and Batak peoples whose ancestral domain rights over the land and sea have been legally recognised by the Philippine government.
The Tagbanua people of Coron are the hereditary guardians of the sacred lakes — Kayangan, Barracuda, and Twin Lagoon — whose turquoise waters sit inside sheer limestone karst walls and are only accessible after seeking the community's permission. This is one of the rare places on earth where visiting a natural wonder means first honouring the people who protect it.
The Puerto Princesa Subterranean River — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — is one of the world's longest navigable underground rivers, flowing 8.2 km through a cave system of cathedral-scale chambers decorated with stalactites that the Tagbanua consider the dwelling places of ancestral spirits.
Palawan's personality is limestone lagoons, indigenous guardianship, underground rivers, and WWII wreck diving. All experiences below are paid directly to local operators at point of service.
